Matthew J. Dicken Founder / Managing Director Matt Dicken is the Founder/Managing Director of Strategic Wealth Designers, a full service financial services firm working to help both retirees and pre-retirees secure their financial futures. Matt began his career in the financial services industry in 1997. Matt’s workshops, which are attended by 1000's of consumers each year, offer insight on how to protect and preserve your assets, increase your retirement income, and potentially reduce your taxes. In today's environment it is hard to know who to trust especially for financial advice. Matt is an ethical advisor that believes in doing what is right versus doing what is popular. That is why Matt is proud to be a member of the National Ethics Bureau. Matt has passed an extensive nationwide background check designed specifically for financial professionals.
Matt has appeared several times on WHAS11 News as a financial expert to discuss retirement planning. He has been featured in interviews conducted by the newspaper Business First, and he has recorded educational podcasts for Sophisticated Living magazine. His "Success By Design" training class has been attended by financial advisors from as far away as California. Attendees to his class are given the training and knowledge on how to build a practice such as his. In 2004 Business First named Matt one of their "40 Under 40" Award recipients which is given to young professionals for their business success and civic contributions. Over the years Matt has authored several financial articles and has helped over 1,100 clients with various financial issues.
In his personal time Matt likes to be an involved member of his community. In addition to volunteering his time at the Animal Care Society and Northeast Christian Church, Matt is a graduate of Leadership Louisville’s Focus Louisville program. Matt is married to his wife Colleen and they have two dogs Mercedes and Mike.

Mark Gaffney Director of Marketing Mark is responsible for current promotions, advertising, and seminars. Throughout the year we have special parties and promotions for our clients. Contact Mark if you have questions about upcoming events. Mark is also responsible for all reservations for our dinner seminars. When not working Mark enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and playing the piano.

Kenneth H. Dicken Business Director Ken Dicken has over 40 years of professional services experience as a seasoned strategic leader, successful entrepreneur and business developer. He is trained, licensed, and experienced in life and health in multiple states in the midwest. Relating well to the individual, senior, and group markets, Mr. Dicken provides specialized services to our clients and business owners in these markets. Ken has assisted clients in their decisions concerning long-term care needs, in the needs of seniors, and in defining business solutions. Mr. Dicken has multiple degrees and certificates from the University of Louisville and is an active member of boards, advisory and directors, throughout the region.

Michelle Florence Office Assistant
Michelle is the first person you see when you come into our office and the first voice you hear when you call our phone number. As the Office Assistant, Michelle supports the team in many aspects of client services. She directs your calls to the staff member needed, and she can aid you in the event you need to schedule an appointment or register for a seminar.
